In partnership with the CDC, SFOA is developing a Harm Reduction Locator mobile APP. Using a mobile device anyone will be able to navigate all forms of Harm Reduction as well as Naloxone in South Florida. The app will include how to access vital social resources and will be piloted in South Florida. 

Every month, the SFOA in tandem with our partners, the DEA and United Way of Broward, provides dinner at a Broward County Library in one of the most at-risk zip codes for overdoses, to educate people about the dangers of fentanyl in all illicit drugs. 

The SFOA in partnership with USA Tablets is providing a mobile device (tablet or phone) and free internet to eligible low-income individuals for a one-time $20 co-pay. This initiative aims to promote and provide access to education and crucial social resources to bridge the digital divide for low-income people. 

SFOA is working closely with Florida Blue to gain access to the private and public colleges in the tri-county to educate students about Fentanyl in all illicit substances and how to use Naloxone to save a life should someone overdoes. 

SFOA's newest initiative is the distribution of Naloxone at Miami International Airport to ensure the safety of travelers and staff. 

In partnership with the United Way of Broward County, the SFOA is working with Comcast to develop a PSA for county-wide distribution on billboards, buses, bus stops, airports, and gas pumps. The campaign will run 2023 - 2024.
